Does "time" exist? do not?

【time does not exist】

Recently, I often see statements on the Internet that say, "Time does not exist."

It may have been triggered by a book by a famous physicist.

It's a very catchy phrase, so it attracts interest.

In classical physics, "time" was considered an "absolute" quantity.

An hour for you is exactly the same as an hour for someone else.

However, in modern times, we know that "time" can only be measured "relatively".

An hour for you is not an hour for someone else.

In that sense (absolute) time would not exist.

Also, since "time" is in the same coordinate system as "space", there is essentially no "flow of time" that you perceive.

In that sense (dynamic) time would not exist.

Something is strange.

Don't you still think that "time exists"?

【time exists】

"Time" exists.

This is a matter of representation.

The flow of "time" that you feel now started 13.8 billion years ago when the universe you live in was born.

The word "13.8 billion years" itself already expresses the "existence of time".

The universe you live in has a four-dimensional space-time of "three-dimensional space + time".

Space and time are mutually transformable and can be discussed in the same category.

In that sense, time exists.

On the other hand, time itself does not arbitrarily advance into the future.

Therefore, "time progressing in one direction" does not exist, but within you there is a "sense of endless progress toward the future".

In fact, the feeling is a problem on your part that makes you feel that way.

In that sense, time exists within you.

Of course, not just you, but anyone else.

So do other living things.

【Universe as static space-time】

Quantitatively, there are “∞” number of deterministic universes spun from “0”.

And the time axis in each deterministic universe, just like the space axis, is a static dimension from the moment of existence to which all stories beyond are determined.

In each universe, there may be those that do not have the dimension of time, and those whose time axis is "∞".

(However, "∞" tends to imagine a dynamic state of "limitless increase", but it means a static state of "limitless" instead.)

If you could see the whole story, it would look like a flipbook with 3 dimensions in one picture.

Life, including you, is part of the physical phenomena depicted in the manga.
